South Africa will be Nepal’s toughest opponents in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The two teams will clash on June 14 at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.
The Proteas are strong contenders for a semi-final spot in this tournament. However, they have a reputation for choking in big games, especially against weaker teams.
New Faces in the team

After shining in the SA T20 League, Ryan Rickelton and Ottniel Baartman have earned their places in the South African squad. Rickelton was the top run-scorer in the league. Both players are uncapped and will be eager to impress on the world stage.
Destructive middle-order trio

Led by Aiden Markram, South Africa includes a dangerous middle-order. Tristan Stubbs, Heinrich Klaasen, and David Miller are known for their explosive batting. Klaasen and Stubbs have already shown their power-hitting in the latest Indian Premier League season. Despite this strength, the team will also need strong starts from Quinton de Kock and other top-order batters.
Pace bowlers

Experienced pacer Kagiso Rabada will lead the pace attack alongside Gerald Coetzee and Anrich Nortje. Nortje recently returned to international cricket against the West Indies after a long break. Nepal’s batters will face a tough challenge against these bowlers, who regularly clock speeds of 140 km/h.
Tabraiz Shamsi, Keshav Maharaj, and Bjorn Fortuin will be handling the spin bowling department.
