Sita performs as Nepal registered consecutive wins in ACC Womens Premier Cup

Sita Rana Magar’s all-round performance guided Nepal to their second win of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024, defeating Bhutan by 8 wickets at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Opting to field first, Nepal restricted Bhutan to a modest 65 runs in 20 overs. Nepal successfully chased down the target in 11.5 overs, with 8 wickets in hand.

For Bhutan, opening batter Ngawang Choden was the top scorer with 25 off 50 deliveries, including a boundary. Skipper Dechen Wangmo contributed 17 off 21 balls, including 3 boundaries.

Kabita Kunwar (1/7) and Sita Rana Magar (1/8) claimed a wicket apiece for the winning side.

Despite losing both the openers early, partnership worth 48 runs between Sita Rana Magar and Rubina Chettri, sealed the game for Nepal. Sita scored 32 from 37 balls, including 3 boundaries and a maximum, while Rubina contributed 24-ball 17 hitting a four and six.

Anju Gurung and Anjuli Ghalley took a wicket apiece for the losing side.
