Nepal will face Bangladesh and India in their Super Six fixtures of ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2024 on 31st January and 2nd February.
They will play both the matches on Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.
The Super Six will involve the top three sides from each of the round-robin groups, with each team progressing from Group A and D comprising one Group and those from B and C the other.
Crucially, each team carries forward the points and NRR they earned against fellow Super Six qualifying teams.
The six teams to make it from Group A and D are India, Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal.
South Africa, England, West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe progressed from Group B and C.
USA, Scotland, Namibia, and Afghanistan – the four teams who didn’t make the second stage of the tournament – will contest in the playoffs for the last four places.
The teams will play two matches in the Super Six stage against their opponents from the corresponding group who finished in a different position in their group. On this virtue, Nepal will contest against India and Bangladesh, who finished in the top two of Group A. Nepal finished third in Group D besides Pakistan and New Zealand.
The top two sides from the two Super Six groups will then progress to the semi-final stage.
