Sandeep hits Jamaica Tallawahs jackpot

Nepal’s nomadic cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has hit Jamaica Tallawahs jackpot in the Caribbean Premier League where the leg spinner fetched a deal worth US$ 130,000.

In what is going to be his third stint in the Caribbean franchise competition, Sandeep joins a star-studded line-up that boasts the big hitting Andre Russell along with Carlos Brathwaite, Rovman Powell, Chadwick Walton, Oshane Thomas and Fidel Edwards.

The CPL is set to begin from August 18 in Trinidad & Tobago behind closed doors with the organisers awaiting permission from the local government considering the current situation of global pandemic.

Sandeep, who has been a primary toast of Melbourne Stars in the Australian Big Bash League, has already featured in two editions of the Indian Premier League. He has also played the Pakistani Super League, Bangladesh Premier League, Afghanistan Premier League, Global Twenty20 Challenge in Canada and Dubai T10 League.

The 20-year old previously played for Barbados Tridents and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in his first two seasons getting amongsts the wickets in both the editions. He has so far picked up 15 wickets in the first two editions.
